Smart metering becomes very popular these days and many companies produce specialized ICs for that and today I\'ve designed the library for Maxim Integrated devices MAX71314/MAX71315 which are single-Phase Electricity Meter SOCs. It comes with 100 pins package LQFP 14x14mm.
PIC18F4550 microcontroler from Microchip, ML version only. Although this component already exists inside microchip.lbr, this improved version has a corrected footprint. It is important to mention that the solder paste layer (tcream) only takes about 60% of the area concerning the exposed pad. This is important so the chip wont float on top of the solder pool covering that pad during the reflow process, being properly seated and with all connections guaranteed. Also, divisions in the stencil covering the exposed pad area guarantee that the solder paste is evenly distributed throughout the area to be covered.
